DIY Draw String Travel Backpack
I will be showing you how to create a DIY Draw String Travel Bag! This bag is not only durable, but also gives you the opportunity to be as creative as you'd like when picking out fabric.
DIY Draw String Travel Bag
For the first step, you will want to gather all of the supplies needed to create the bag. Things like the fabric, fabric scissors, durable rope and a meter stick (optional). You will then need to lay out all of your supplies in a neat order of your choosing, I recommend this just so you know where to find everything.

For the next step, you will need to begin cutting your fabric. You will cut your fabric to you chosen size of your bag and you will need to add and extra inch to each side because you will be losing an inch when you sew everything together. Also, when you being cutting, you'll want to place the fabric inside out so that when you are done sewing everything you will be able to turn everything inside out and you'll be left with seamless sides of the bag.
This next part is a little tricky, but you can do it! You'll want to start by folding the open end outwards into a circular opening that the rope can be easily ran through. Your want to create the fold onto both sides, keeping them as even as possible and creating them about and inch long. Then you will unfold the entire bag and then you will be ready for the next step.

For this next step, you will begin sewing your bag. I would highly recommend sewing the top, circular part for the string to go in at the top. Then you'll want to sew the sides of the bag (remember: Don't sew the sides of the bag all of the way up, stop at the part where the rope will be strung through).

For the last step, you will want to string the rope through the top of the bag, to crates the arm straps. Them Kaboom you're finally finished.
