DIY Dollar Tree Wood Pallet Succulent Key Holder Design

I recently took a trip to my local Dollar Tree store, and I am excited to share this simple wood pallet succulent key holder design with all of you. For this project, you will only need a few materials. If you're ready, gather your materials, and create with me!

One Dollar Tree Pallet

Succulent plants

You can purchase the Dollar Tree succulent plants if you choose. I purchased my succulent, and vine plant from Hobby Lobby, and it was discounted

Black paint

Two screw hooks

I used two smaller gold screw hooks

Diamond wrap gems

The ones I am using have a sticky backing on them

E6000 Glue or any adhesive

Twine

Scissors

Paintbrush

Hot glue

Wire cutters/ scissors

Start off by taking your black paint, and applying it to the front, sides, back, and inner sections of your pallet. When you are done, your pallet should be completely covered in black paint.

Set your pallet aside, and allow it to fully dry.

Next, take your gold screw hooks, and insert them into your pallet on the lower section. Just twist them, until they have gone completely through the wood.

Now you are ready to start adding on your diamond wrap gems. Take your scissors, and cut strands long enough to go from one end to the other. I decided to take off the sticky backing on each strand.

I ended up applying a thin layer of adhesive and applying them onto my pallet.

Once you have added your gems, take your scissors, and cut your vine, and succulents.

After you have cut each vine and succulent, use some hot glue, and apply them onto your wood-painted pallet. You can place them however you would like. I started out gluing my vine, and then I took a few of my cut succulent flowers and added them around my vines.

Next, take your twine, and cut just enough to create a loop for hanging your pallet. Flip your pallet over, and take some hot glue and glue the ends of your twine down, creating a loop.

You're all done! Now you can take your pallet key holder, and hang it up. I hope you have enjoyed this simple DIY project. Be sure to check out my other hanging design crafts below! I'll see you all soon with another fun DIY project!
