Materials Needed
To make these yarn balls you will need:
- Yarn,
- White glue
- Round balloon,
- Scissor,
- Flat tray,
- Paint brush.
Glue the Yarn
Take a flat tray (at least 1 inch height),
Mix white glue and water (50:50) very well on the tray.
Soak the yarn into the water-glue mixture without cutting the yarn from the bundle.
Make sure to soak the yarn evenly in the water-glue mixture.
Wrapping the Yarn
Blow up a small round shaped balloon.
Keep a paper or old newspaper to protect your craft space.
Start wrapping the glued yarn around the balloon randomly.
Cover the whole balloon evenly with the yarn and try to create a nice and even pattern.
Allow the glue to dry for at least a day.
Popping the Balloon
After the glue dries make sure to free the yarn from the balloon by pushing the balloon on places where it is joined to the yarn, otherwise it will ruin the yarn ball after popping the balloon.
Finally, pop the balloon and take it out from the yarn ball.
Keep the yarn balls in sunlight for the next 2-3 hours.
These yarn balls look really decorative and make beautiful centerpieces. Perfect for fall decoration.
Enjoy!
