DIY Decor - Christmas Bells From Plastic Bottles
Hi everyone! I'm Anya.
Today I made Christmas bells from plastic bottles.
It's simple and fun, and it's my first project from plastic bottles.
I used natural materials for decoration, but if you want to extend the life of the craft, it's better to use artificial Christmas branches.
As always, you can watch full tutorial at link.
So, let's start!
Supplies
- plastic bottles;
- acrylic primer;
- acrylic paint;
- twine;
- cones;
- beads;
- Christmas tree branches;
- Christmas balls;
- bows;
- ribbon;
- glue gun.
Cut Off the Top of Bottle
Take plastic bottle and cut off the top of the bottle. We need three.
Paint It
Spray acrylic primer on two of them. And paint both with acrylic paint. I chose a light beige color.
Make a Clapper
Measure the thread. Glue on a small Christmas ball. And fasten the thread to the lid.
Decorate the First Bell
I decided to decorate the first bell with small cones and beads. Glue them with hot glue.
Take branches of a Christmas tree and glue them to the lid. Add a bow.
The first bell is ready.
Decorate the Second Bell
For the second, I take the Christmas ribbon and glue it. Then take the twine and glue it along the edges of the ribbon on both sides.
Glue the branches to the lid with hot glue. And add a bow.
The second bell is ready.
Decorate the Third Bell
I decided to paint the third bell with gold acrylic. Take the bows and glue them to the edge. And again branches and a bow.
The third one is ready.
Tie Them Together
Take the threads and tie them around the each one of the bottleneck. At the first I leave the thread long.
And then I tie the other two to it at different distances.
Add White Paint
I put some white paint on the branches.
The bells are ready. Enjoy!
