DIY Cute and Lively Big-Big Eyes Robot Toy for Kids
This instructable covers how to make lively and lovely big-big eyes robot toy to bring fun to kids and improve their hands-on ability. They are very easy to implement and no electronics knowledge requirements. OK, let’s go!
These are the materials:
4 x wheels
4 x rubber rings
3 x axles
3 x wooden blocks
2 x Eyes
2 x EPS foam ball
2 x cute eyes
2 x small rubber rings
2 x stickers
1 x AA batteries holder
1 x Motor
1 x fluffy line
Set the Rubber Rings Into the Wheels
Setting the rubber rings into the wheels is quite easy with just making a little effort.
Plug Z-shape Axles Into the Front Wheels
Plug the Z-shape axles into the front wheels just like the picture showing above.No direction required.
Use Knife to Slice EPS Foam Ball to Make a Flat Surface for Sticking the Eyes
Use Elmer's Washable No-Run School Glue to glue the eye to the EPS foam ball, or you can also prefer other brands of white craft glue. Scribble the glue to the eye pad and then gum it to the surface of foam ball. You can do the next step while letting the glue drying up.
Glue the Wooden Blocks As a Whole
Note that the side closer to the hole should be touched with the desk. It has been pointed out by red arrow in the picture above. You can do the next step while letting the glue drying up.
Fold the Fluffy Line and Twist
Fold the fluffy line in half and then twist like the picture shows above.
Make One Sticker Adhere to the Motor
Take the covering off then paste the sticker to the motor.
Make the Motor Adhere to the Wooden Frame
Make the motor adhere to the wooden frame like the picture showing above.
Make the Remaining Sticker Adhere to the Wooden Frame
Before pasting the stick to the surface of the wooden frame, you must make sure the sticker staying neat to the wooden frame.
Make the Batteries Holder Adhere to the Wooden Frame
Note that the direction of the power cable must be set like the picture showing above.
Install the Front Wheels
Plug the axles in both sides of motor.
Install the Rear Wheels and Fluffy Line
Pass the rear axle through the hole of rear wooden block. Turn the orange rubber rings onto the rear axle and then install the wheels. After that pass the fluffy line through the hole of the front the wooden block and make a twist like the picture showing above.
Attach the Eye Balls to the Fluffy Line
You can adjust the gesture of the eyes as you like.
Connect the Power Cable to the Motor
