DIY Cute Button Pin Tacks

I'm still beavering away at the office makeover, 

and the room has suddenly developed pops of yellow!

The pot plant got switched, 

as I thought the black pot was just too big.

The new orchid is potted in a crackle glazed yellow pot!

Then that meant that I covered the coffee coaster in a yellow-toned fabric.

All that was needed was some new thumb tacks...

And look what I found in the button stash!

The cutest yellow-toned buttons and embroidered flowers.

Perfect for the upcycled thumb tack idea.

I saw this somewhere in Pinterest land.

And what a cool idea it is!

So if you want to make some too, all you will need is:

some pin tacks

old buttons and/or embroidered flowers in a small size

a hot glue gun

They are very easy to make.

Just place a blob of hot glue on the head of the pintack, and press the button or small embroidery on top.

Then use on your pin board to hold photos, memos or quotes in place.
