Do you want to add a little personality or style to your room or house? Make this simple nightlight anywhere you want it. I will be showing you how to make this light through a step by step tutorial. Have fun!

Supplies

  • One of the Kan-Jam Illuminate lights. If you can't get a hold of one get a LED puck light (preferably 7cm in diameter)

You need to use a picture you want to make a lithophane, then bring it into a website that brings the picture you chose to 3D. The website I like to use is itslitho.com where you have a lot of options for the size and such. First, choose the picture(s) you want to have on your night light and upload them to the lithophane website. the complete width needs to be 11cm (110mm) or under. Set the thickness as .2(minimum) to 2mm(maximum), and the height needs to be short enough for the light on the nightlight to illuminate the top of the lithophane. It will be a lot easier if you have a frame.

Make sure you're at 100% infill. It won't look very good at the end of the print but that's because there's no light behind it to show the picture.
