DIY Crayon Candle

This is a mini project that can be done at the comfort of your home. It is a great way to save some extra money and also a great way to show your creativity side. All you need are a simple items that you can gather at home. It will also make a great decoration at home.

The materials you will need are:

1. A small size glass cup
2. Candle wick
3. Hot glue gun
4. Beeswax
5. Crayons
6. A small container

The first thing you want to do is glue the candle wick to the glass. With the hot glue gun, gently in a circular motion put glue at the bottom of the candle wick. Right after you have applied the glue around the metal part of the candle wick, firmly press the candle wick to the bottom inside of the glass. After that is done you can start the fun part.

You'll need to pick your colors that you wish to do. Once you have done that, you want to peel the paper off of the crayon. After that you will pour Beeswax onto the small plastic container, roughly 1/4 cup. After you have done that, you can break the crayon into three pieces and place the plastic container in the microwave for 6 minutes but I recommend that at 3 minutes to check it. If it has not yet melted, let it microwave again.

Once the crayon and beeswax has finished microwaving, take it out carefully so that nothing spills and be careful it can be hot. When you take it out, you want to mix the crayon and beeswax together with a popsicle stick. Right after that you want to place the glass in a tilted way so that the candle mix can turn into a sideways angle. You want to let it dry for 20 minutes.

So now that you know how to mix the crayon and beeswax, you can go on to do the rest of the colors. Remember that the second color goes on the opposite side, so you tilt it the other way. You do the same for the third color. After you have completed the candle and have let it dry for 20 minutes, you now have a beautiful unique candle.
