DIY Christmas Snowman From Socks and Cotton Wool
Hi everyone! I'm Anya.
I decided to make a Snowman with a pompon from socks and cotton wool. I know most people make it from socks and rice, but I didn't have enough rice at home, so it'll be cotton wool.
Let's start!
Btw, you can check out the full tutorial at the link :)
Supplies
- socks of different colors;
- cotton wool (or other filler);
- thick threads (yarn);
- beads;
- buttons (or something similar to them);
- ribbon;
- cone;
- glue gun.
Make a Snowman Body
Take a sock and filler. I took cotton wool, but the filler can be anything. Take more cotton for the lower part,
create a kind of ball and fill it. Then create the head, it should be smaller.
Take an elastic band or thread. And tighten a little above the middle, forming a snowman shape.
Glue the upper part of the sock.
Make a Snowman Hat
Now take a sock of a different color, cut off, leaving only the front part. And put it on the snowman. Glue it. I decided to cut off the top. Then glue it.
Make a Pompon
Take the yarn for the pompom. Wrap it around the hand. I took yarn of two colors. Remove. Tie with a strip of yarn in the middle. Then cut along the edges on both sides. Fluff and trim to form. And glue it.
Make a Scarf
Now take the Christmas ribbon. Since it's wide, I fold it in half. Glue it to the edge of the hat. Take the same ribbon and wrap it around neck, forming a scarf.
Add Eyes, Nose and Buttons
Then glue the buttons or something similar to them. For the eyes, I used beads. And of course add the nose. I have this little cone.
So that's all.
The Snowman is ready.
Merry Christmas!
