DIY Chopsticks & Chopsticks Rest

I tried making chopsticks and chopsticks rest in a unique way by using an electric drill and an angle grinder .

Prepare a wood dowel (around φ12mm) and cut the right length. I used a Japanese cypress dowel in this time.

Set the dowel to an electric drill and grind by an angle grinder, then finish with sandpaper. Please refer to the video above.

Do the same process as the chopsticks.

Finish by hand work. I made a different shape of chopsticks rest and applied Urushi (Japanese lacquer) to that rest and chopsticks.
