DIY Cat Teepee Tent

Hi ! My name is Nick and today i'm going to show you how i made this cool teepee tents for my sisters two beautiful cats . It's an easy project that i hope your small friend will also like !!

To make one you will need :

- 4 1.5m bamboo sticks,

- fabric of your choice (i went with the native american style ,but be as creative as you like),

- rope ,

- Wood saw (you 'll need it to cut the bamboo sticks).

- Sewing kit (it's going to be a lot easier if you have a sewing machine, but it's not necessary i sew it by hand).

1) Cut 4 75cm and 4 45cm long pieces, from your bamboo sticks.

2) With the 4 75cm long bamboo sticks form a pyramid shape and tight them all together on the top.

3) With the remaining 4 45cm long bamboo sticks form a square and tight all 4 corners together.

4) Last part of the frame assembly is to tight the bottom square with the pyramid .

1) Cut a square from your fabric and sew it on the bottom square of the frame. Congratulations your summer edition teepee tent is ready!! Now lets make the winter season edition.

2) Now it's the tricky part !! You' ll need to set your remaining piece of fabric on top of the pyramid. Measure and mark the dimensions you' ll need to cut .If everything goes well , you should end with a shape that looks like mine.

3) As you can see in the photo, i sew on the top two straight lines made out of my remaining fabric .You can change this with some rope if you want. Using these two you attach the fabric to the frame with a simple knot. In this way you can remove the fabric and clean it .

It's done !! Your small friend must be proud of you. As you can see from the photos my sisters cats really enjoy sleeping in their new teepee tents while having some privacy. It also looks way better from your cats favorite box. You can decorate it in your house sit back and enjoy your cat having a great time. I hope your cat also likes it !!
