DIY Cardboard Puzzle
Hi! I'm a seventh grader this year and I was doing an enrichment class on CAD, so I was using Tinkercad, and then I found the contest for Tinkercad. So then I went to Instructables and found MORE contests, including this one. Of course, I had to enter it. My final result? This is how you make your own customizable, DIY cardboard puzzle.
Supplies
1. Piece of flat cardboard
2. Pencil
3. Sharpie or pen
4. Scissors
5. Glue (optional)
6. Coloring utensils (optional)
7. Sheet of paper (optional)
Size
First you need to cut your cardboard into the desired size and shape. I chose to do a rectangle for simplicity, but you could do whatever you want.
Design
Time to add a design to your puzzle. If your cardboard isn't white and you would like it to be, you can glue a piece of paper on top of the board, either a blank one or a printed one. Draw your design, and color it in if you want.
Pieces
Finally, we need to sketch out the puzzle pieces onto the cardboard. Once again, you can make it whatever shape and size you like, but it helps if the pieces interlock. Either way, use the pencil to draw your puzzle piece shapes over your design or on the back. I found that it helps to draw a grid and then put connecting pieces where you want them. After that's done, trace over the pencil lines with the sharpie or pen. Then cut the pieces out using either the scissors or exact knife.
Finished!
Yay, you're done! Time to solve!
