DIY Cardboard Nightstand
Let's say you just moved into a new house and you are too cheap to buy a nightstand. Well, here you are with all of those leftover cardboard boxes and don't have a place to store them. Why not just make a cardboard nightstand instead.
Supplies
- cardboard
- pencil
- ruler or tape measure
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- black spray paint or any color you want
- paper towel roll
Cut the Top Off
cut the top off and trim it to fit the side.
Make a Curve
taking some extra cardboard laying around hot glue it to the top and curve it downwards to make a nice curve.
Time for the Drawer
take another box and trim all the sides down until you reach 6in.
Cut the Box
1:now you want to cut the boxes side so you can hot glue the sides together without having a gap.
2: cut one side all the way off and trim it until it reaches 6in. Then hot glue it to the to the already open side.
Inside Supports!!!!!
take a big paint stick and cut off one end so that it fits nice and snug in the box.
Extend the Curves
Now, this is an extra step if you want to do it but you don't have too.
take some more cardboard and just extend the curve so that it might cover the gap between the top of the drawer and box. then add some curves to the side of the drawers too.
!!!! the Knob !!!!
take some paper towel roll and cut off a 1in wide piece. After, that trace the circle on some cardboard and cut out the traced circle. now hot glue the cutout circle to the 1in roll. finally hot glue the knob to the drawer.
Spray Paint It Any Color You Like
