Superheroes have inspired us and made us believe in greater good , Captain America is one among them . Captain America is old-fashioned Hero. He wears a blue helmet with the letter 'A' and carries a solid shield.

The day I saw Captain America : The First Avenger , I became fan of his shield . The shield is made up of Vibranium , the strongest metal ever. That means Captain America's shield is virtually indestructible under normal conditions .

So today I will show you one of the cheapest method to make one !!....

Supplies.....

  • Glue
  • Paint Brush
  • Sandpaper
  • Pencil
  • Compass
  • An empty Deodorant bottle

Making the Shield....

For making the shield , first you have to make a mixture of glue and water in 1:1 ratio.

Then you have to oil the outer part of the Pan so that when you coat it with paper and glue it doesn't get stick to the pan so that pulling out the shield is easy.

(And if you don't want to oil the surface you can use a polythene to cover it but you must have a big one to cover it.)

After coating it with oil start layering it with paper and glue . Coat it with almost 10 layers of paper and glue.

Remember that white paper provides more strength to the shield rather than newspaper.

Removing and Cutting...

As the paper and glue drys out , try to remove the shield . You can use a scale or something to remove it .

Be gentle while doing so. First remove it from the edges then move to the center . Tap from behind continuously while removing it.

Then to cut the rough edges you have to take a string and tie its one end to a pen . Put the other end of the string in the middle of the shield and then make marking on the shield.

Making the Star......

With the help of the sand paper remove the paint from the deodorant bottle .Then cut the bottle form the upper and lower edge and flatten it out.

Now make a star on it and cut . If you want you can use a stencil to do it .

Be careful while cutting the bottle. The edges are sharp and can hurt you.

After cutting the star you can add details to it with the help of a screwdriver or a compass.

Cut and Paint..

As you must have seen in the movie the shield has metallic luster but our doesn't have , so make it look somewhat metallic you can use a white pencil colour to draw circular lines on it.
