DIY Bow and Arrow

Hello ! This is my first instructable . In this Instructable I will show you how you can make your own bow and arrow. It is easy to make. This might help you mastering your aiming skills :))

WARNING : Not suitable for children below 10 years !!

• A long and sturdy stick for the bow.
• A middle sized stick for the arrow.
• Nylon string.
• Red paint and paint brush.
• Thin styrofoam disc.
• cutter

• Grab the long stick and make a slight cut 3cm away from the ends of the stick.
• Make sure you make the cut on the convex side of the bow.
• Don't make the cut too deep.

• Take your nylon string and tie it in one of the cuts.
• After tying, pull the string such that the bow bends like a 'C'.
• While keeping the bow bent, tie the other end of the string to the other cut.

• Load the arrow into the bow and check if it is working properly.
• If the arrow doesn't travel to a long distance, the bow might not be sturdy enough or your nylon string is loosely tied.
• Sharpen the tip of the arrow so that it can pierce the Styrofoam disc

• Paint the targets on the styrofoam disc.
• You may mount this disc on a stand or hang it from a point.

Please make sure you don't aim at people ! Only aim at the target disc. If you are above 10 but below 13 years of age, don't play without adult's supervision.
