DIY Belt Holes
last week I purchaced a belt from a retail store before trying it on, but when I put it on at home it didnt fit, so instead of returning it I decided to take matters into my own hands and fix the problem myself, here is how I did it.
Gather Materials
- a belt (perferibly leather)
-a tape measure
- a sharpie
-a hammer and a nail
- a piece of scrap wood
Measure Out the Holes
To keep the belt consistant you are going to want to measure out the exsisting holes. In my case they were an inch appart, so I measured an inch from the last hole and made a mark with the sharpie.
Creating the Hole
to create the hole take the nail and place it on the mark you made, then take the your scrap piece of wood to hammer the nail through the belt.
Cleaning Up the Hole
Now that you have made the hole you can clean it up by taking a knife and cutting all the excess leather that the nail pushed through, after you have done that you can circle the tip of the knife around in the hole to smooth out the edges
.
Finnished
Now you can fix all those belts you have that are too big to wear.

Thanks!
