DIY Bathroom Renovation

The following instructable is about the renovation of my bathroom.

Step 1 - Design the Bathroom

Measure and design the new bathroom layout.

Step 2 - Remove the Old Bathroom

Everything from the old bathroom was removed including the floor tiles.

Step 3 - Shower and Bath Support Frame

Due to the concrete floor the shower plumbing was run though the wall and the shower bass was raised up by 160mm to allow room for the P trap. The previous shower was in the same sport and was also raised.

Step 4 - Sheet the Wall

Use a water proof cement sheet on the wall. full in the gaps with polyurethane sealant.

Step 5 - Waterproof

Waterproof all the seams with an appropriate waterproofing agent.

Step 6 - Hang Vanity and Mirror

Hang the vanity and mirror as per the manufactures instructions. Extra support timber was added into the frame prior to the cement sheet to support the weight of the wall hanging vanity.

Step 7 - Tile, Tile, Tile

Tile everything.

Step 8 - Install Shower Frame and Fixings

Install the shower frame and fixings.
