Here's a quick and easy way to attaching a flag to your house. All you need is a flag - some PVC pipe, a block of wood, some paint and some screws.

The Pipe

This is my problem: I have a flag, but I don't have a pole and I wanted to attach the flag to the house.

I do however have a pvc pipe, so here's a quick way how to attach a flag to your house.

So use a piece of 3/4 inch pvc pipe, to the length of your choice. First, I'm spray painting the pipe white to hide the pvc marks.

Next, I cut out a 10 inch block of a 4x4 piece of wood. I drilled a 1 1/8 " hole, about 5 inches deep in the top with a spade bit, and cut it off 45 degree on the other end.

I'm spray painting the wood white as well to blend in.

There was already a hole in the flag (if yours doesn't have one, you can always cut a small hole). So I cut a hole in the pipe as well and put in a screw to cap it off.

Then I screwed the holder to the post, put in the flag, and there we go. All done! Happy 4th of July!
