Take the Wire Out of the Twist Tie

Using scissors, take out the wire within the twist tie. This will act as the basis for the entire structure.

Cut the Sponge / Foam

Cut about 5 cm of sponge or foam. This will act as a cushion for your ear when you put the earphones on.

TIP: An old sponge works great, if you can find one laying around the house. Personally, I like to use foam since it is a little bit more aesthetically pleasing.

Insert the Wire Into the Sponge / Foam

Insert the wire into the Sponge / Foam and bend the structure to conform to the shape of your ear.

TIP: It is also very useful to have sticker foam to perform this step. Also, as a friend to help you shape the wire so it sits comfortably on you ear while providing a secure placement of the earphone.

Tape the Wire on the The Earphone.

Bend the wire to create a question mark shape and tape the end to the stem of the earbud.

(OPTIONAL) Wrap the Earphone Hook With Felt

Just to add additional comfort, wrap some felt around the hook and hot glue or sew the ends together.
