- Sketch a 2"x4" rectangle
- Evenly space (6) 2"x0.75" rectangles within the previously made shape
- Create a spline connected to the top and bottom rectangles creating a butterfly-like shape (2.84" from the center at its farthest point)
- Offset the spline 0.125"
- Extrude the entire sketch 0.25"
- Extrude cut a 0.125" hole through the rectangles
- Save and Export as stl.

- Upload file to Cura as stl.
- Adjust printing settings
- Printing Temp. 220 C (make sure to make your Initial Printing Temperature 10 C higher)
- Build Plate Temp. 90 C
- Print Speed 45 mm/s
- Infill Speed 35 mm/s
- Wall Speed 30 mm/s
- Export file as G-code
3D Printing
- Stretch polyester fabric across build plate vertically (6"x14")
- Secure fabric down with binder clips on print bed
- Tape sides of fabric down with painters tape
Assembly of Bowtie

- Feed yarn through the holes in the print
- Tie off one end and pinch the center together
- Tightly tie the pinched 3d print together
- Fold excess fabric of the back of the print and super glue it
- Trim and extra fabric with scissors
Create Neckband File

- Measure neck length (this will be your width)
- With your width create a rectangle (your width) x 0.65"
- At one end create a vertical rectangle 2"x0.75"
- Then place 4 supports evenly spaced in the center of the band 0.1" wide (this is so the band doesn't roll when wearing it)
- Finally extrude all 0.0625"

Repeat Step 2
3D Print
- Measure enough fabric to cover the print (roughly 15"x3")
- Stretch fabric across print bed and secure down with painters tape and binder clips

- Trim an excess fabric off sides
- Wrap the neck band in a circle and the connection point should all meet in the front
- The extra notch (rectangle) is going to be used here to wrap around the front of the Bowtie and hold it in place
- Lastly secure with any sort of clasp you'd like (velcro, button, etc.)
