DIY 3D Printable Hydroponics Planter System
I recently got a hydroponics system for my birthday, and when I looked closer, I realized I could make one easily. This is how to do it!
Features:
- Removable tray
- Pouring spout
- Water reservoir
- High yield
Supplies
- 3D Printer - here at Amazon
- Masking Tape - here at Amazon
- Filament - here at Amazon
- AeroGarden Garden Kit - here at Amazon - multiple choices available
Preparing to Print
The files are here at Tinkercad and here at Tinkercad. Use the settings in the screenshots. Make sure you put masking tape on the print bed, or else it will stick too well :)
They take a loooong time, so get going now!
Printing
Just wait. Afterwards, remove the masking tape and pull the parts off. That's it!
"Planting"
Put the preplanted AeroGarden plugs in the holder tray. Fill the planter with water. Put 1 capful of the included Plant Food in the planter water every other week, keeping in mind more is not better. Put the holder tray inside the planter. The edges should hold it up.
The plants should sprout in 4 to 21 days.
If your plants get very big, transplant the whole plug outside into moist soil.
The Printing step has explanations in the pictures about the functions.
Done
That's it! In 4 days to 2 weeks, your plants should sprout!
Enjoy your food, until next time,
