What is the use of reversing the rotation in a motor?

The reversal of rotation allows the motor to exert mechanical force in opposite directions, although not simultaneously. For example, it can be used to raise a vehicle platform, and reverse the turn to stop it.

How does it work?

The operation is very easy since with a RIGTH pulse we will initiate the first start to the right, when it is in operation no matter how much you press the second LEFT start it will never enter since the first start is in operation. Then to change turn I have to turn off the start according to which we press STOP and this deactivates me and allows me to enter the next LEFT or left start and vice versa.

The electronic circuit is very easy and understandable since the main brain is the SCR for interlocking the RELAY and the motor to be used. It should be noted that this circuit is only useful for the control system while the force system will be done through contactors that will handle the power of the three-phase motor according to the needs that we will require. A main advantage of this circuit is that we will no longer use auxiliaries for the contactors.

SCR

SCRs are devices of great importance in the world of electronics and can be used for many things: from activating an alarm system to governing and controlling the ignition of power circuits, such as: activation of inductive loads such as motors, ignition of lamps with high or low intensity or temperature regulation of a soldering iron to give very basic examples.

It should be remembered that today in many household appliances, we find this wonderful device that, although it is not a regulator, behaves like a sinusoidal signal regulator.

We can find the SCR frequently and we can use it depending on the type of application that we need as a user, from lighting to sprinkler systems, through the famous battery chargers that are undoubtedly important in the manufacture of these devices.

HOW DOES AN SCR WORK?

As we have already mentioned before, there are many ways to do it, however we will mention some of the most important: by means of artificial light we can do it as long as there is an incidence of light in the SCR or THYRISTOR junctions.

When it reaches the silicon, the pairs of hollow electrons will damage and in this way this device will be activated.

(SOLID STATE PHYSICS)

Consider industrial operations, it is always possible to control the amount of electrical power needed to be delivered to a load as long as a variable transformer is used to provide a variable output voltage.

Since the 1960s, this versatile electronic device called SCR is available, small and relatively cheap, which does not require maintenance and its power consumption is very, very small.

Some modern SCRs can drive and/or control currents in the order of hundreds of amps in circuits that operate at very high voltages, generally in the order of 1000 volts. modern industry.
