Electric Generator Using a Simple Dc Motor and a Flywheel

Any Dc brushed motor can be used as an electric generator without to modify it. All you need is speed...... A large flywheel is the answer. It is a simple project. You can test diferent brushed DC motors.

For this project you need :

1. A DC brushed motor - I used C9050 series you can find it inside printers

2. Air conditioner motor outdoor fan motor

3. Disc Plate Weight - for barbell - 10 Kg

4. cheap milk frother on batteries

5. Silicon tube

6. led panel board

7. wires

1. Open the milk frother and take the plastic connector from the DC motor

2. Open the Air conditioner motor outdoor fan motor and take the ax and only the buttom of it (refering to case )

3. connect the brushed Dc electric motor ( C9050 series ) to the led panel board through wires.

4. connect the plastic connector from the milk frother to the C9050 electric motor and put on the connector a peace of silicon tube .

5. place 10 kg weight disc on the metal case (with the ax ) form the air conditoning.

All you have to do now is to couple the dc brushed electric motor to the 10 kg disk weight and spin the flywheel.

More speed more voltage you will generate.

You can try different types of dc motor using the same principle.
