Cyclone Motor Upgrade

Cyclone-Motor-Upgrade.jpg

The cyclone project at one time turned out to be quite in demand and due to its popularity there was a shortage of motors. They ended a few months after the publication of the project. In this update I made a housing for another motor-turbine, which I hope will be enough for many.

Supplies

In this update, parts are only for the new motor housing, all other parts, if necessary, can be found in previously published projects:

This update was generated from the drawings that the customer gave me. I don't have the motor itself, so I will also provide all the details in STEP format, which you can easily fix if the original size does not fit.

I also want to note that there are a large number of offers of similar motors on sale, they differ in the connection diagram, so be careful. The links below are for motors, which in my opinion will not be difficult to connect. Pay special attention to the choice of the power supply. It must withstand high starting currents.

These motors have an integrated brushless motor controller. According to the description of the sellers, the Lexi W5060 20180529 motor has up to 100,000 rpm and can be used at 12-18 V (18 V for a short time), while the maximum power consumption is 250 W, and the starting current can reach 20A. Weaker power supplies with overload protection simply will not start the motor, and without protection they may fail.

You will need insert nuts, screws and a silicone ring for assembly. I have designed the mounting holes for an M3 nut up to 4mm in height. M3 screws 6mm. Links are in the general list on the project page.
