Box CAD planing

In this step we are going to do CAD planing of the box.

Since we have measure dimention of the box it's about

height:- 6cm

length:- 7cm

width:- 7cm

corner radius:- 10

Cardboard Spacer Ideation

since we need to add space between the bottom of the tin container, so that the cutting blade can be errected. So we do idea generation of how should we design cardboard spacer. Some attribute to be noticed under this circumstances are:-

1)How much the cardboard spacer should be raised from the bottom of the tin container

2)How many holes and type of holes that need to be made to place cutting blade and its shaft in it.

How Much the Cardboard Spacer Should Be Raised From the Bottom of the Tin Container

How much the cardboard spacer should be raised from the bottom of the tin container
In this step we need to find the length of the shaft that hold the cutting blade while used with DREMEL machine. The largest shaft that was availabe with me was of length 2 cm and had a shaft diameter of 3mm. So we need to raise the space from the bottom of the tin container for atleast 2 cm with +/- 10% up to the designer for error.

How Many Holes and Type of Holes That Need to Be Made to Place Cutting Blade and Its Shaft in It.

How many holes and type of holes that need to be made to place cutting blade and its shaft in it.

Before we can make holes in cardboard spacer we need to define length and width of it.

From the above diagram, it is clear that length of the spacer should atleast be 7cm - 1cm = 6 cm to fit inside the box

and width should be 70mm - 9.5mm - 9.5mm - 5mm = 46mm or less

topview of cardboard spacers.png

based on previous step we were able to figure out length and width of the space which is

length:- 60mm

width:- 46mm

know we can define, where can we place holes and what types holes that need to be placed in it.

You can print a sticker from any printer. stick it to the cardboard and start cutting it from the lines

Bend the Card Board on the Inside Which Is From the Marking.

bend the card board on the inside so that it can fit inside the stainless steel box. Cut the marking using blade or knife and place the cutting blade on it. as shown above
