Cutie-pies for Your Cravings!

Baking just got a whole lot more exciting! I've discovered a simple technique that lets you create two delicious treats from a single batter: a moist cake and a batch of fluffy muffins. No need for a fancy oven or complicated recipes. By using the same batter and adjusting the cooking method, you can enjoy two different textures and presentations from a single recipe, all without relying on an oven. Perfect for those who want to get creative in the kitchen without the hassle. Let's get baking!
Supplies

- Ingredients:
- Chocolate sweet biscuits(crushed) (cocoa power as alternative)- 2 cups
- All purpose flour- 1 cup
- Butter- 1/4 cup
- Sugar- 1/2 cup if using biscuits otherwise 1 cup
- Milk- 1 cup (as sufficient for the batter)
- Baking powder or soda- 1 teaspoon
- Utensils for baking cake:
- Steel pot
- Steel stand (trivet of size that can be placed inside the pot)
- Baking tin
- Lid to cover the pot (has a hole)
- Utensils for baking muffins:
- Cast iron pan
- Appe pan & its lid (this pan is mainly used in India to make quick breakfast dishes)
Making the Batter

- Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine crushed biscuits (or cocoa powder), flour and sugar
- Add Butter: Mix in melted butter until well combined.
- Add Milk: Gradually add milk, mixing until a smooth batter forms (mix in one direction either clockwise or anticlockwise).
- Rest the batter: Let the batter sit for atleast 15 minutes (add baking powder to it before pouring it to bake)
Making the Cake

- Grease Baking Tin: Grease the baking tin with butter or oil.
- Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared tin.
- Place in Steel Pot: Put the steel stand inside the steel pot and keep the tin on it.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the pot with a lid and bake on medium heat for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Making the Muffins

- Grease Appe Pan: Grease the appe pan with butter or oil.
- Make a baking setup: Place cast iron on the gas stove and place appe pan on top of it (we need regulated heat that's why we didn't place appe pan directly on stove).
- Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the appe pan cavities.
- Cover and Bake: Cover the appe pan with a lid and bake on medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until muffins are cooked through also flip them and cook.
Tips

- Preheat: Preheat both setups before placing the tin or pouring the batter in appe pan.
- Adjust Sugar: Adjust sugar quantity based on biscuit sweetness.
- Check Doneness: Check cake and muffins for doneness by inserting a toothpick if the toothpick is dry then its ready and if not then let it bake for few minutes.
(I have no oven or microwave at my home so I make cakes like this if you want you can make it oven too)
