What you will Need:

Yarn.  Cut the yarn about an inch.  Get enough to make 5 bundles.
2 Googly Eyes

Yarn Needle
2 Small Black Pom Pom Balls
Scissors
Glue

Tieing

Tie the pieces of yarn together with either string or cord thread.  Tie the string in the middle of the yarn pieces and pull to make a nice and tight knot.  This helps make the yarn pieces nice and stiff to make a little "hay stack" look.  Repeat and make 4 more of these "hay stacks".

Cutting and Shaping

Fluff the strands to form a round ball.  Start to trim the shaggy strands.  Shape and contour as you go along.  Hold the scissors flat against the bundle to help form a smooth and round shape. Trim off the long yarn strand that tied the bundle together.  Trim the remaining edges of the yarn to form a round fluffy pom pom.

Trimming Off

Trim off the long yarn that tied the bundle together, and trim the remaining edges of the yarn to form a nice round fluffy pom pom.

Adding

Add the eyes.  Tie the cord to the first eye and pull the needle through the center of the pom pom to the other side, add the second eye and finish with a knot.  The nose can be sewn in or glued on.

Connecting the Pom Poms

With a long strand of yarn reinforced with cord thread, slip the needle through the center of one pom pom and tie a knot to hold it in place.  Add on the other pom poms one at a time and last the head and finish with another knot.
