You can make this cute purse/tote from a used container that would otherwise go into the landfill.
Plastic Cylinder Into Cute Purse
If you or someone you know takes this fiber supplement you will have the main component for this project. The container for Meta-mucil is a perfect cylinder with a bright orange top. The "label" is a thin plastic covering - easily removed with scissors or an x-acto knife.
Materials Needed:
- Plastic cylinder
- Pop Rivet tool
- Pop Rivets
- 7/8" Grosgrain ribbon, two (2) lengths of 22"
- Hand drill and drill bit
Prepare Cylinder
- Pop the paper liner out of the lid
- Drill a 1/4" hole in the lid - this is to accommodate ear buds
- Drill a pair of 1/8" holes on three sides of the cylinder - 2" from the edge of the white part of container
