Drawing the Design and Selecting Sari
We wanted to draw a design that would be easy to paint but would also look gorgeous.
So, we drew a mandala. The mandala contains some items that reflect our culture! Also we drew the designs very simply so that the painting work can be done perfectly.
After that we chose a sari of pastel orange colour as it was going very well with our design.

Drawing the Mandala on Sari
After finalizing the mandala design, we copied it all over the sari. We pinned the sari over the paper and redrew the design carefully on the sari.
Mixing the Colour; Making Colour Palatte
As the colour of our sari was pastel orange, we mixed the acrylic paints and created a colour palatte that compliments the colour of the sari and shine in their own way.
We also added some bold shades to balance the colours and make the sari more elegent.
We selected colour for every mandala item carefully so that the design can be seen easily and the colours don't match or clash too much.

Finally Painting!
We painted every little section of the mandala very delicately and after the first layer of painting we gave our mandala some shades, borders and details!
The Finished Look
After the painting was done we waited for 48 hours and then washed the sari. And here is our final result!
