Custom Tile Coasters
Want to customize a Holiday gift for someone special?? Here ya go! Custom Coasters!! The video tutorial shows you how to complete this using vinyl cutouts. If you want to try this at home - here is are a few different ways. LET'S GO!
Gather Supplies
You'll need coasters. I got mine from Menards for .30. You can create a set of 4 easily!! You'll also need wet glue, a paint/foam brush, felt pieces, clear sealer (I'm using fast drying polyurethane) to finish - if you don't have this you can use Mod Podge. Finally you'll need die cuts, vinyl cut-outs or a sharpie!
Finish Up
If you're using die cuts:
1. Add a tiny bit of wet glue to adhere your diecuts to the coaster and let dry
2. Once your die cut has dried - add Mod Podge or Clear Sealer on top of the entire coster - let dry
3. Add some felt to the bottom of the coaster to prevent scratching the surface where it sits.
If you're using Vinyl:
1. Adhere your vinyl to the coaster (see video)
2. Add Mod Podge or Clear Sealer on top of entire coaster and let dry
3. Add some felt to the bottom of the coaster to prevent scratching the surface where it sits.
If you're using a Sharpie:
1. Draw your desired shape, name or design on top of the coaster - let air dry
2. Add Mod Podge or Clear Sealer on top of the entire coster - let dry
3. Add some felt to the bottom of the coaster to prevent scratching the surface where it sits.
