Custom Drone Landing Pad

My son loves drones, everything about them. He has a little one, but he really wants a big one. So one day he asks if he can have a landing pad for his little drone. Took a little bit and I came up with a quick design, sent it to get printed and sewn.

He loves it and uses it all the time. This is how to design/order your own.

Go to www.canva.com it's an amazingly simpel site to design all kinds of things, but I am going to show you how to design your own custom Drone landing pad.

1. Once on the site, sign up for a FREE account with your email, Google or Facebook accounts.
2. Log in and click, "Create a design" (Top left, green button)

1. Click the, "Use Custom Dimensions" button (Top right)
2. Fill in the dimension: 24" x 24"
3. Make sure you pick inches in the little drop down box. If you leave it alone your design will be very, very small!
4. Click, "Design"

On the far left are the options, most free, to design your idea.

This is where you put in the elements and items you want. It will take a little practice to get what you want. Once you play for a while you will figure out how things work.

If you want to upload an image of your own that's one of the options. You can land your drone on a friends face!

1. I am going for bright and geometric... so I am picking a bright yellow background.

2. I am adding lines for safety. A big round shape from the, "Elements" tab on the left. The dashed lines let you know when things are centered up and down.

3. When doing your design keep important elements away from the edge of the 24"x24". I will need to fold over about 1" on each side for sewing. So the finished Drone pad will be 22"x22".

Once you get it the way you want you have options....
Send it to banner/sign shop for printing... Or.....

Order one up and send me the design from printing, sewing, grommets, and shipped to your door!

1. Visit my Etsy shop and order your custom drone pad.
   
2. Share your design with me so I can print, sew, grommet and ship to you
   1. In the top right click the "Make Public" button. It will turn green and say, "Public"
   2. Little to left click the, "Share" button and email me the link to your design.
   3. Put in my email: "BellinghamMakerSpace@gmail.com"
   4. I will send a confirmation email that I am ready to go with your payment and design

   1. In the top right click the "Make Public" button. It will turn green and say, "Public"
   2. Little to left click the, "Share" button and send me the link through Etsy.
   3. At the bottom of the pop-up window copy the link and send it to me through Etsy when you place your order.
   4. I will send a confirmation email that I am ready to go with your payment and design
