Curiously Strong, Clear Skies- Astronomy Altoids Tin Flashlight
What another Altoids flashlight? Yes, yes indeed.
I wanted to share some of the things I have made because of the Instructables community!
I made this flashlight for a star party I attended. I have made a few modifications, as this was my first rendition.
I used the “Make an Altoids Flashlight” instructable by Joshua Zimmerman
Materials used:
- (2) Red 5mm Wide Angle LEDs (Radio Shack)
- (2) Chrome LED holders (Radio Shack)
- (2) 100 ohm Resistors
- (1) SPST Mini Toggle Switch
- (1) AA Battery Enclosure
- (1) Altoids Tin
Tools:
-Soldering Iron
-Solder
-Drill; 1/4” Drill Bit
The only thing that I changed in later modifications was to line the inside with electrical tape entirely. This helped the battery stay in place and helped keep those idle hands from opening the top of the box all the time.
