Here are the steps I went trough to make this cup holder:
Define the Idea: Why you need a cup holder. In this case, it's to securely hold hot cups.
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
Sketch Ideas: Create hand-drawn sketches of your envisioned cup holder.
-Decide if it will have heat resistance, customization options, or an ergonomic design.
3D MODELING
Create the Model: Model your design in the software, ensuring to include all necessary details.
-Review the Model Check dimensions and ergonomics to ensure it's suitable for the cup sizes you want to use.
PREPARATION FOR PRINTING
Export the File: Save the model in a suitable format for 3D printing, such as STL and you need to download the app UltiMaker Cura and export the file, and adjust the format.
Downloads
Choose a 3D Printer: Select the appropriate 3D printer and material (e.g., PLA or PETG, which are heat-resistant).
-Start the printing process and monitor it to ensure there are no failures.
TESTING
Functionality Test: Place hot cups in the cup holder to check its stability and comfort.
-Ensure the material can withstand heat without deforming or causing burns.
