Crystallised Petal Cupcakes

Have fun with these pretty, yummy cupcakes, perfect for the summer time!

Crystallised Petals

We will start by making the crystallised petals, what you will need is,

1 tbsp water
1 large egg white
1/2 cup sugar
12 rose petals, ( for the 12 matching cupcakes )

Rinse and Place Then Coat

Writes all the petals and look for any bugs too, then set them all individually on the baking tray. Next coat the petals in a mixture of 1 egg white and 1 tbsp of room temperature water, then place them all back on the tray.

SPRINKLES!!!

Start Making Cupcakes!

Combine 150g of butter into bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups caster sugar, 2 eggs, and 2 tsp vanilla.

Flour

Once butter mixture is beaten, add 2 1/2 cups of self raising flour and 1 1/4 cups milk, beat well.

Pour Into Paper Cases

Por the mixture into the paper cases and put in oven for 180 for half an hour. Take out of oven and allow to cool.

Icing

In a bowl mix 1 cup of icing sugar, 100g butter and 1/2 cup of milk. Beat well and add colouring of your choice, I have used pink.

Finished!

Spread icing onto cooled cupcakes, and place the crystalized rose petal on top. Hope you enjoyed! Please write a comment if you have made them!
