Crockpot Chili

Crockpot Chili

1 pound Ground Beef (cooked and drained)

2 Cans chili beans (kidney Beans)

2 cans Black beans (drained and rinsed)

1 onion chopped

1 can tomato sauce

1 tomato copped

1 cup salsa

Chili Seasoning (see step 3)

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 cup taco chips

* Set crockpot on low

Cooking the Meat & Onions

In a pan brown beef and onions together.

Drain meat and onions

Place in the crockpot on low for 5 to 6 hours

Adding the Beans

Once the meat and onions are cooked place in crockpot and add.....

*2 cans chili beans

*2 cans black beans (rinsed and drained)

*chopped tomatoes, salsa, and tomato sauce

Chili Seasoning

Chili Seasoning

1 tbsp. chili powder

1 tsp ground cumin

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

* add to chili and stir well

Let cook in crockpot on low.......Make sure you stir every few hours.

Adding Taco Chips and Cheese

About 2 hours before I am ready to serve the chili I add about a cup of crushed taco chips to thicken it up.

Stir and cover again.

Add the cheese and sour cream before serving!
