Crochted Mimosa Pin for Women's Day (March 8th)

9.jpg
Materials:
Hook (the littler the better, I use 3 mm)
Scissors
Needle for wool
Little safety pin
Cotton/wool yellow and green

Abbreviation:
ch = chain
sc = single stitch
sl = slip stitch

The Flower

With yellow:
Do a magic ring (or a normal start loop)
*2 ch, 6 sc, close the ring** reapet from * to ** at least 8 times.
Try to keep the ch as tight as you can, but you don't need to be too precise.

The Branch

With green:
12 ch, go back doing 5 sl;
go on with 5 ch, go back with 6 sl;
go on with 4 ch, go back to the 1st ch with 6 sl;

Maybe it's simpler if you follow the diagram.

You can obviously do other type of branch, following different patterns, like mine.

I really don't follow a diagram, I just crochet as it comes.

Assembling

Make 2 knots, one under and the other one over the flower, so you pull it together: even in this case you don't need to be too precise.

Insert the yellow tail in the branch, between the stitches, and knot them under the branch and then around the safety pin.

Hide the tails in the base of the flower.

I've put it in a little present card to give it away to my female friends, collegues and pupils on March 8th!

Please note that I'm not a native English speaker, so forgive the mistakes or gently tell me how to correct them.
