Make the Phone Body
Make 2.
The phone body is made in two pieces. To get the oval shape, you will work in the back stitches of the foundation chain and continue from there in rounds.
Round 2: Make 2 SC in each of the first 2 SCs, then 1 SC each in the next 12 STS. Make 2 SC each in the next 4 STS, then 1 SC each in the next 12 STS. Finish by making 2 SC in each of the last two STS. MM. (42 SC).
Round 3: Make 1 SC in first ST, then 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS. SC in the next 14 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC in each of the next 2 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then SC in the next 14 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC in the next ST. MM. (48 SC).
Round 4: Make 1 SC in each of the first 2 STS, then 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS. SC in the next 16 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC in each of the next 4 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then SC in the next 16 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC each in the last 2 STS. MM. (56 SC).
Round 5: Make 1 SC in each of the first 3 STS, then 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS. SC in the next 18 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC in each of the next 6 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then SC in the next 18 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC each in the last 3 STS. MM. (64 SC).
Round 6: Make 1 SC in each of the first 4 STS, then 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS. SC in the next 20 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC in each of the next 8 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then SC in the next 20 STS. Make 2 SC in each of the next 2 STS, then 1 SC each in the last 4 STS. MM. (72 SC). FO and weave in ends.
Make the Gray Band
The front and back body pieces are connected with a gray band that runs along the outside of the phone. To make the gray band, you will need one of the body pieces (it doesn't matter which) and your gray yarn.
Round 1: Join gray yarn at the bottom of the phone. Working in the back loops from round 6 of the phone body only, make 1 SC in each ST around. Place a stitch marker in the last SC to designate the end of the round (72 SC).
Round 2: Sc in each ST around. (72 SC). FO and weave in ends.
Make the Keypad, Screen, and Center Button
The image below is a template that you can use to cut out the felt shapes for your cell phone's key pad, screen, and center button. I left my phone plain, but you can easily stitch or glue a cute little face on the screen and have a phone buddy. After all, everyone likes to have someone to talk to!
TIP: For best results, save the image to your computer before printing.
Use white felt for the key pad and gray felt for the other pieces.

Sew the Felt Details On
Sew the felt pieces to the phone body with the gray band as shown.
Sew the Phone Together
Using white yarn, sew the two phone body pieces together. Make sure to leave a small hole to stuff the phone.
Stuff the Phone
Stuff the phone using about a handful of fiber fill. You want the phone to have some three-dimensionality, but don't stuff it so full that it puffs out.
