Do this in yellow colored yarn

  • Start by making a chain of 11

*sc=single crochet

R1. Sc in each chain so there is a total of 10 stitches (10)

R2-R10. Repeat doing a Sc in each stitch for a total of ten rows

Once you have made one square make 5 more for a total of 6 square pieces

To make the body more square like I added wire to the squares, putting it through the stitches

Once you have done that you have to sew five of the squares together leaving the last one not attached to the rest

Decorating the 6th Square Piece

Now use the last square that is not attached to the others

First using the grey yarn make a chain of 11 stitches

R1. Sc in the 10 of the chains leaving a total of 10 Sc (10)

R2-R4. Repeat the 10 Sc in the 10 stitches for 3 more rows

You should have a total of 4 rows of Sc in the 10 stitches

Then crochet around the piece to make it look a little better

Once you finish fasten off leaving a tail for sewing

Sew this piece to the top of the yellow square

Once you have done that cut out a small grey and black square out of felt

Draw two black lines and a red circle on the grey square and on the black square draw 3 lines and a circle in 1 color with a marker or paint

Then using black thread or thin yarn sew the W, A, L, and L of Wall-e at the bottom right corner of the square

Then cut out a red square and using white thread or thin yarn sow the E of Wall-e on it and then with the glue gun, glue the square with the E after the L

First make the piece that goes around the top of the body

Make a chain of 41

Once you have done that Sc in each chain leaving a total of 40 stitches

Then fasten off

Once you make this you can either glue this piece to the top or sew it ( I glued it since it was much faster)

Then make the two smaller pieces that go on the two back corners of the square

First make a chain of 7

Then Sc in the first 3 stitches of the chain

At the end of the 3rd Sc chain up 4

Then Sc crochet down the 3 chains of the chain so there are 3 Sc

Then once you reach the bottom Sc in the last 3 chains of the original chain of 7

The final piece should look like an upside down T

Glue or sew these 2 pieces to the 2 back corners of the square body

First use yellow yarn

R1. Make a magic ring with 6 stitches (6)

R2-R6. Sc in the 6 stitches for a total of 5 rows (6)

Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing and stuff it

Using grey yarn then make the nose piece

R1. Make a magic ring with 4 stitches (4)

R2-R3. Sc in the 4 stitches for a total of 2 rows (4)

Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing and stuff it

Then sew or glue the grey nose piece to the neck pice at an angle

For the first piece use the grey yarn used to make the previous grey pieces

The first piece of the eye:

R1. Magic ring 8 stitches (8)

R2. (Inc) repeat 8 times (16)

R3. 2 Sc, 2 inc, 12 Sc (18)

R4. Sc in 18 stitches in the back loop only (18)

R5-R8. Sc in 18 stitches for a total of 4 rounds (18)

Fasten off

Make one more

Small Back Grey Eye Piece:

R2-R4. Sc in the 8 stitches for a total of 3 rows (8)

Fasten off and make one more
*Once you have those pieces sew the smaller piece to the corner of the bigger piece and do the same with the other two pieces

Stuff these pieces or cut out pieces of foam to put in them to give the eyes a better shape

Inside Eye Parts:

*You can either do this part with felt or crochet them like I did.

Use a 1.30 mm hook and thin yarn or thread for this part if you choose to crochet it

For the first piece use light grey thin yarn

R1. Magic circle 8 stitches (8)

R2. Inc in each stitch around (16)

R3. 6sc, 4inc, 5sc, 1inc (20)

R4. 7sc, 5inc, 6sc, 2in (25)

R5. 9sc, 6inc, 8sc, 2inc (31)

Once finished fasten off and make one more

To make this out of felt just cut out an oval shape and glue it in the opened area of the first eye piece we made

Black Piece of Eye:

*Use the 1.30mm hook again and thin yarn or thread

R1. Magic ring 8 stitches (8)

R2. Inc in each stitch around (16)

Then make one more

*glue this piece to the pointed end of the light grey piece and glue the light grey piece to the opening of the first eye piece we made

For the little white circle just cut out a small circle of white felt and glue it to the black piece

Then take the two eyes once they are put together and attach them to the nose piece by sewing them to it or gluing them to it

Little Black Piece in Back of Eyes

Make a chain and place in the two holes I the back of the eyes

Metal Piece That Goes Inside the Arm:

Using wire bend the metal like the picture above and then cover it in tin foil to make it thicker

*Make sure it fits in the arm piece that we will make but also make sure it is not too thin

Arm:

Chain 8 and slip stitch the top of the chain to the bottom of the chain.

R1. Sc in the 8 chains around (8)

R2-R5. Sc in the 8 stitches and repeat for 4 rows (8)

*Now switch your yarn color to grey

R6-R7. In grey Sc around 8 stitches (8)

Place the metal inside this part

Do the next row with the metal inside what you are crocheting

R8. 2sc, 2dec, 2sc (6)

Then fasten off and make one more

Fingers:

Chain 5

R1. Slip stitch in the 4 chains

R2. Sc around the whole thing so there are 8 stitches (8)

R3-R6. Sc in the 8 stitches for a total of 4 rows (8)

Fasten off and make one more finger

*Once you have made both the fingers and the arms put the fingers on the metal piece and sew the fingers to the arm

Then fasten off and sow in the loose ends

Cut little black rectangles out of felt and then paint white lines on the pieces and then glue these pieces to the arms

R1. Dc in 3 chains (3)

Continue double crocheting in the 3 stitches until it is long enough to go around the metal triangle (I continued for a total of 12 rounds)

Then put this piece on the metal and cut out felt to glue inside the wheel to attach the metal to the wheel

3 Grey Circles Inside the Wheel

R1. Magic ring 8 stitches (8)

R2. Sc in the back loops around (8)

Make three to place inside each wheel

*Make a total of 6

Glueing

Glue the triangle part to the body

Then glue the little grey circles inside of the triangle once it is attached to the body

Attach Parts to Body and Velcro

C1588931-5F0E-417F-9785-B7EB1549F421.jpeg

Once you have made all the pieces sew everything together except for the sixth square piece

Then sew the three velcro pieces to the top and two sides of the body as well as the sixth square piece

Once you do this sew the sixth piece to the body, but just sew it to the bottom so it can open and close.

Once finished you can make something to place inside.( I made a plant like in the movie)

Then you are done with your cute little robot !!
