I crocheted this box as a gift. Perhaps for beginners it will be a little difficult, but the pattern turned out very beautiful.

Supplies

crochet hook 2 mm
blue and white yarn 400 m/100 g
scissors
fishing line

The Top. 1st Round

Work in rounds. Crochet tightly. To make the top of the box more solid, I decided to add a fishing line. I crocheted so that the fishing line was inside the stitches.

Start crocheting with blue yarn.
You need to crochet 6 Magic Ring.
There is an excellent instructable Crochet Magic Ring Tutorial https://www.instructables.com/Crochet-Magic-Ring-Tutorial/

To keep the end of the fishing line well secured, first make a knot with the line, then align that knot with the knot of yarn, then crochet single crochets around the knots.

2nd Round

3 chains, 11 double crochets from Magic Ring center, slip stitch.

Remember to crochet so that the fishing line is inside the stitches.

Fix blue yarn.
Attach white yarn: form a loop with white yarn, draw a loop through crocheting, crochet chain.
Next, crochet with white yarn.
3 chains, * start a double crochet, hook behind a stitch of the second round, crochet as with double crochet, but do not crochet the last two loops on the hook. Start again a double crochet, hook again behind the stitch of the second round, crochet as with a double crochet, but do not crochet the last three loops on the hook. Crochet all three loops together.
1 double crochet (together with fishing line) in the blue stitch of the 3rd round, 3 chains, 1 double crochet in the next blue stitch of the 3rd round.
Repeat after *. At the end, instead of 1 double crochet, make a slip stitch.
