Crochet this beautiful necklace in less than an hour. It is crocheted with ladder ribbon that you can purchase in lots of different colors. Let me show you how easy it is to create this necklace.

Starting Your Necklace

You will need at least 60 feet of ladder ribbon and a small bead. The necklace I made is six strands and each strand took 10 feet of ribbon. You can add more or less strands based on how big you want the necklace. You need to measure nine(9) inches from the end of the ribbon to start crocheting.

Completing the First Strand

Now you are going to do a single chain stitch. Continue the chain stitch until it is 22 inches long. Now close the chain and make sure you have 9 inches on this end. You just completed your first strand. Now do this five more times so you have six strands. If you want a thicker necklace you can do more strands.

Now you put the six strands together and tie a knot on one end to keep the six together. Then tie a knot on the other end. Make sure the knot is close to the crocheted chain. Now put all the ends together to make the necklace and slide the bead over all twelve ends. Tie a knot at the end of the necklace to keep the bead on. You can slide the bead back and forth to tighten the necklace after you slide it over your head.

Wearing the Necklace

The necklace is complete and you can put it over your head and tighten the bead to the length you want. It can be adjusted to whatever you are wearing. Everyone loves the necklace and they can't believe it is made from ribbon. I hope you enjoy.

If you are looking for the ribbon just search for "ladder ribbon". I found it for about 7 dollars a spool which will make 7 necklaces. So you can make a necklace for about 1 dollar.
