Crochet Lego Blanket
In this Instructable, you will learn how to crochet a cute lego blanket that is a great addition to any kids' bedroom. Note: this lego blanket will come out being about 3'x4'.
Supplies
What you'll need:
- Different skeins of yarn (I used Green, Blue, Red, Orange, and Yellow)
- Gray yarn (the "cement" that holds the pieces together)
- J hook
- Note: The skeins shown above are just a small amount of what I used
Read the Pattern

Row 6: CH 1, SC in each stitch across row, CH 1 at end, SC in each CH of rows along the side, CH 1 at end, SC in each stitch across row, CH 1 at end, SC in each CH of rows along the side. End.
Tips:
- Hide yarn ends as you crochet each brick (I crochet over the starting tail, then sew the end tail into the brick.)
- Adjust your hook size if your yarns vary in weight, so that each brick comes out to roughly the same size.
- Use up all of your scraps of yarn.
- Legos come in all colors, so get creative.
- You could make it in pastels, for a girl, for instance.
- You don't need to do a blanket either, you can make a pillow too! just make less squares.
Start Making the Bricks
In my opinion, this is the longest step because you need to make 91 lego bricks. It sounds more daunting than it really is. After making about 40 bricks your hand may feel like its going to fall off and you may wonder is it worth it? Trust me, it is, this blanket is a great gift for any lego lover.
Connect the Bricks
In this step, you simply have to connect all the bricks, sort of like quilting. Once you've connected all 91 bricks, the blanket is done!
Joining: To join the bricks, put 2 wrong sides together (not the side with the popcorn stitch). Using your same crochet hook and gray yarn (or whatever color you prefer), starting in CH 1 space of final row, SC through both stitches and all 4 loops, across. I did this one row at a time, then crocheted them altogether in the other direction.
Optional: If you would like to trim the blanket, choose a color once they are altogether and do one SC round, followed by a DC round. As you can see in the picture above, I used bright blue.
๐๐๐Congratulations!!! You did it!!!๐๐๐
