In today's Instructable, I wanna share with you, the pattern to make this basic Crochet Heart.

- Crochet Hook (D3)

- Yarn (sport weight yarn)

- Scissors

- Tapestry needle (pointless)

Gauge

gauge 04.png

The heart that you saw at the beginning of the tutorial, was 1.4 inches long and wide. In my case, I used a D3 hook and a sport weight yarn. If you use this type of hook and yarn, in 2 inches you should have 9 stitches.

2" = 9 stitches

To begin with this heart, the first thing that we have to do, it’s a Magic Ring, which is a basic technique whose Instructable is HERE.

Step by Step: FIRST HALF

Once that we have finished the magic ring, we are going to work two chain stitches (to have a total of three chains at the beginning of the round).

To make a chain stitch: yarn over and pull the hook through the loop that was already on it.

Step by Step: FIRST HALF
