Crocheting always inspires me. I have always handmade and gifted hairbands to my friends and relatives. Everyone loves this as a surprising gift. Teenager girls absolutely love the unique designs and colors to match their dress.

In this simple project, I will share the steps needed to make this hairband. It does take some time to make it perfectly. Let's get started.

Supplies

1. Yarn (purple and blue)

2. Crochet yarn hook

3. Scissors

First Step and Crocheting the Next

I started with a slip knot and 12 chains. Then I added 12 double crochet (dc) to this. Just continue to double crocket on the base 12 chains and add 1 row at a time. Unfortunately I ran out of the purple yarn. I then added blue yarn to complete the hairband circle. I needed 33 rows of dc to complete the hairband. The length of the hairband depends on the size of yarn and the head roughly. It could be kept a bit relaxed to fit firmly but not too tight or loose.

A great idea struck to have this dual color combination as it easily matched 2 dresses instead of just one. The hairband is ready for use. Wear it yourself or makes a great gift as well.
