Crochet Flower Arrangement

If you are looking for a quick and easy gift for a loved one that is both simply but meaningful here is an idea for you.

Supplies

Materials for the Rose's

  • Red and Green colored yarn
  • 4.5mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Wooden skewers

Materials for the lavender's

  • Dark purple and light purple colored yarn
  • 4.5mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Wooden skewers

Materials for the sunflowers's

  • Yellow and Brown colored yarn
  • Pillow stuffing
  • 4.5mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Stitch marker
  • Wooden skewers

Round 1:

Start with a slip knot.

Chain 48.

Add one more chain this is our "turning stitch"

Round 2:

Your going to go into the 2nd chain from the hook, and in each chain you are going to do a "HDC" which stands for a half double crochet and you and going to do that 48 times

  • For the "HDC" you yarn over insert into your hook then pull through the first loop on the hook then yarn over and pull through all three loops.

Round 3:

Chain 2

Flip the project

The you are going to do 3DC, skip a stitch (repeat all the way down)

  • For the "3DC" you are going to yarn over pull though then yarn over pull though two and then yarn over and pull though the last two

Round 4:

Chain 2

Flip the project

Chain 1, Dc, 2 Dc, Dc, chain 1 slip stitch (repeat all the way down)

This process is to create the petals on the flowers

And as you can tell it is already starting to curl witch helps for when you have to wrap it around the wooden skewer.

Round 5:

Now we are going to start with the bud of the flower

Start with a Magic ring/circle

6 HDC into the magic ring and then tighten together

Round 6:

Slip stitch chain 6

Slip stich, sc, hdc, dc, dc

Then go into the next stitch and repeat all of these steps all the way down

  • "sc" is single crochet
  • "dc" is double crochet
  • "hdc" is half double crochet

Round 7:

And now that the rose and the bud are done you can glue them together.

Start by gluing the side first and then rolling it around and then with the little hole in the middle of the bud you can insurte the stitch that has the flower already on it and after glue the leaves around the rose.

And then once you have glued then together your going to wrap green yarn around the wooden skewer.

And there you have a rose.

Round 1 of the lavander:

Start with a slip knot

Chain 58

Round 2:

In the third chain from the hook you are going to do 3Dc , chain 2, slip stitch.

Into the next stitch: slip stitch, chain 7, slip stitch back into the first slip stitch. And we are going to do that all the way down.

And then with your green yarn you are going to wrap it around the wooden skewer and then once you have done that you are going to wrap the part of the lavander you made around it and there you have a lavender.

Round 1 of the Sunflower

Magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc (6)

Pull the shorter end to close the circle

Round 2:

6inc (12)

increase(inc)= 2 single crochets in 1 stitch

insert your stitch marker after doing the first single crochet

Round 3:

6 x (sc, inc) (18)

Round 4:

6 x (2sc, inc) (24)

Round 5:

6 x (3sc, inc) (30)

Round 6:

6 x (4sc, inc) (36)

Round 7:

1sc in each stitch (36) And after you are done with the 36 stitches you close it of with a slip knot.

R1-R7: same as the seed part sepal is the exactly like the seed part, just in different color

1 petal: (ch2, 1dc, 1tr, 1dtr, ch2) in 1 stitch, ch2, slst, (1dtr, 1tr, 1dc) in 1 stitch, ch2, slst

  • Ch is chain
  • Dc is double crochet
  • Tr is triple crochet
  • Dtr is double triple crochet

And do this all the way down

Before doing the last pedal make sure to put in the stuffing.

To finish of the sunflower you are going to wrap a wooden skewer with green yarn and then attach the skewer to the flower.

And there you have a sunflower.
