Crochet Bob-omb Bag
Many moons ago I went to a convention with friends all dressed as Shy Guys from the Mario video game series. I did not want to carry a purse while in costume, and thought up this cute little bag. It looks like a Bob-omb enemy but the fuse is actually a drawstring and the fuse box on top lifts to reveal the opening. They were a big hit, and more than once I had to stop people from throwing it around like you do in Smash Bros.... my phone and wallet were inside!!
Supplies
You will need 4-ply worsted weight yarn in black, yellow, white, and grey and just a tiny bit of white felt for the eyes.
Use a size G or K hook.
If you want your bag to have more structure, you can crochet the black body with two strands of yarn held together or take an old thin wire coat hanger and unfold/reshape it into a spiral to fit inside

I need to look up my old notebook for this part, the word document I have from 13 years ago is corrupted and just spouts gibberish for this part, BUT here's a basic idea/my best guess of what to do:
- ch ~6, hdc 5 and hdc 3 in last... go along other side of starting chain and hdc 5, hdc 3 in last (16)
- hdc 5, hdc inc three times, hdc 5, hdc inc three times (22)
- hdc 5, [hdc inc, hdc] three times, hdc 5, [hdc inc, hdc] three times (28)
- hdc 5, [hdc inc, hdc 2] three times, hdc 5, [hdc inc, hdc 2] three times (34)
- hdc around in BLO
- decrease 4 over the side you want to be the toe (30)
- decrease 4 over toe (26)
- decrease 4 over toe (24)
- decrease 4 over toe (20)
- decrease 4 over toe (16)
end off and leave long tail to sew shoes to body
