Crochet Bag to Hold Your Electronics
I decided to Design a bag that can hold your technology. So first I designed this bag with a pocket for your laptop and another little pocket for your phone. This is a perfect bag whether your going to the beach and want to work on some stuff or if you just want a fun bag option when going out.
For this fun crochet bag you will need around 5 colors, a crochet needle, and crochet hook of your choice. Now lets get started...
Body of Bag
So with this step you will need 3 different colors.
- Chain 91
- Turn and single crochet 90
- Then 14 rows of double crochet
- Change color
- 14 rows of double crochet
- Change color
- 14 rows double crochet of last color.
- Now finish off and hide the strings
Edges
Once you are done with all the colors you just fold it in half making it easier to make the bag with one side that you wont have to do anything to .
next get your white yarn and double crochet along all the edges ( not the bottom), then finish off, and hide the strings.
Next is we create the pocket.
- Chain 36
- Turn, single crochet 35
- Then, do 12 rows of double crochet
- Finish off and leave long tail to sew on bag.
Place the pocket were you would like and then crochet it onto the bag
Strap
Now take your white color
- Chain 14
- Turn and Single crochet 13
Now I did a stitch that I am not sure what it is called so I have inserted a short clip of me crocheting it and if anyone knows what this stitch is called please comment what it is down below.
Now do about 100 rows of that stitch unless you would like it longer. Then finish it off leave a long tail and sew it onto the bag on the corners
Lap Top Pocket
This pocket will be entirely based on the size of your computer. This pocket I will show you is very small and is used for a chrome book.
- Chain 35
- Turn Single crochet 34
- Now do about 28 rows of half double crochet
- Finish off and leave long tail to sew on
Turn your back inside out and sew the pocket where you want with your crochet needle and make sure not to sew the top so it can be a pocket. Then turn it right side out and your pocket should be done and should not be seen from looking at it right side out.
All Done
Now your bag is complete and you can enjoy your new bag. If there are any questions or things you think could make the bag better please comment down below.
