Creative Switch: Faucet Lamp

Use the handles of a faucet to dim LED's

Things You Will Need

  • Faucet
  • 6 LED's
  • 2 #v Button Batteries
  • Electrical Tape
  • Wire
  • Wire Cutter
  • Wire Stripper
  • Solder
  • Solder Iron
  • 2 Potientiometera
    • Possible Supplies
      • Heat Shrink
      • Wax

Tape Around the Edge of BatteryWith Electrical Tape

Also tape the inside of faucet where the battery will sit.

Solder All the Anodes Sides of 3 LED's Together

Split the Led's up into groups of 3

Then solder all the anodes together

Solder All the Cathode Sides of the Clump of LED's Together

Strip and solder a wire to the cathodes of the LED Clump

Strip and Add Another Wire

Attach the second wire to the ground side of the button battrey using electric tape

Solder the Other Two Ends of the Wires to a Potieniameter

Check to make sure LED's light up before soldering.

Secure Anodes Legs of the LED's to the Positive Side of the Battery

If Needed, Use Heat Shrink to Make the Potentiometer Handle Fit Into Faucet HAndle

Repeat Steps on the Other Side of the Faucet
