Creating the Perfect Lip

What you'll need, to create the perfect lip:

  • Lipstick of your choice
  • Nude/Natural Lip Liner
  • Translucent Powder
  • Small Fluffy Brush
  • Lip Brush

The specific items I used in the picture are linked below:

Apply Powder to Lips

Starting with clean lips, apply your translucent powder to your lips using the fluffy crease brush.

*If your lips are quite dry or if they are peeling, exfoliate them prior to this step using your toothbrush. Also, if you don't have a translucent powder around, you can always use a bit of baby powder. ;)

Line Your Lips

*If you're like me, lip liner can sometimes feel like an evil foe. Therefore, I like to use a color that is as close to my natural lip color (or a soft nude) so that it will blend with any lipstick.

Use the lip liner with the pointed side down (as seen in the picture). This makes it easier to avoid crooked/uneven lines; you can even move your lips along the liner, rather than leading with the lip liner and your hand.

Fill Your Lips With Color

Now that your lips are lined, you can easily fill in the center/majority of your lips with your lipstick.

Shape and Define

Apply color to your lip brush; trace your lips (over your lip liner, not past it!) and shape & define your lips as desired. If necessary, you can also blend any harsh lines at this point.

Enjoy Your Look!

Now you have created the perfect lip. Following these steps will ensure that your lips come out the shape that you desire, and last at least 3 hours without fading (assuming you don't keep touching/messing with them).

Thanks for viewing - I hope you enjoyed! :)
