Hi, my name is Jennifer Hanson. Are you looking for a sweet treat to make for a baby shower or graduation? I am going to show you how to create a delicious refreshment that melts right in your mouth. I’m going to show you in 12 steps how to create cream cheese mints. Cream cheese mints are an affordable way to add a little extra something for many events.

Gather ingredients for the mints. This will include, 8 oz package of Great Value cream cheese, 1/4 cup of Great Value unsalted softened butter, 2 lbs Great Value powdered sugar, 1- 2 tsp flavoring extract, Great Value gel food coloring, and 1/2 cup Great Value powdered sugar for rolling mints.

To start, grab a glass or plastic mixing bowl. Inside the bowl, combine Great Value cream cheese and Great Value unsalted butter. Mix together until smooth. There may be some possible lumps, but work through them thoroughly.

After mixing the Great Value cream cheese and Great Value unsalted butter completely, add in 1 cup of Great Value powdered sugar and mix everything together until smooth.

The flavoring can be mint, cherry, vanilla, or whatever flavoring you want! Once the flavoring is selected, put in 2 tsp and stir thoroughly. If flavoring isn’t mixed thoroughly, the mints will taste dull.

Gradually, add the remaining Great Value powdered sugar until smooth and consistent. You can do this with a stand mixer or by hand.

Using four bowls, separate the mixture into all four, or however many different colors are desired.

To add the food coloring, add a small amount to each bowl and stir in until the color is consistent.

Refrigerate the mints for 2 hours or until firm enough to handle. Refrigerating the mints will make them stiff. Also, you don't want it sticking to your hands.

Line 2 quarter sheet pans with Great Value parchment paper and gently dust with Great Value powdered sugar.

Using a fork, gently press the tines of the fork into the top of each ball.

Let stand, uncovered, for at least 4 hours or until the mints are firm. If the bottoms have any moisture, flip over and let stand again until the bottoms of the mints are also firm.

Store in an airtight container, separating layers with parchment or waxed paper, for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
