Cranberry Gelatin Salad
I don’t remember where I first had this salad. I do know that I love it and no one else in the family will eat it so I don’t make it very often. This year, Thanksgiving is at my Mom’s and I am taking my Mom’s Chocolate cream pie (found here: https://www.instructables.com/id/Moms-Chocolate-Cream-Pie/) and this salad. I know my mom, my Aunt and my sister will love it. So here is the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup raw cranberries
1 orange (not shown)
1 – 3 oz. pkg. cherry gelatin
1 cup white sugar
1 cup boiling water (not shown)
1 -20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 cup pineapple juice (reserved from the crushed pineapple)
1 cup chopped walnuts (not shown)
Supplies:
Food processer
Spoons (not shown)
Bowl (not shown)
Measuring cups (not shown)
1 cup raw cranberries
1 orange (not shown)
1 – 3 oz. pkg. cherry gelatin
1 cup white sugar
1 cup boiling water (not shown)
1 -20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 cup pineapple juice (reserved from the crushed pineapple)
1 cup chopped walnuts (not shown)
Supplies:
Food processer
Spoons (not shown)
Bowl (not shown)
Measuring cups (not shown)
Grind the orange (rind and all)
and cranberries (I used my food processer and it worked just fine). Place them in the bowl.
Add the Sugar.
Drain the pineapple
and add it to the bowl.
Add enough cool water to the pineapple juice to make one cup.
Dissolve the gelatin in the hot water.
Add all the ingredients together (whoops forgot the walnuts, there.) stir well.
Chill for 24 hours before serving. Enjoy!
